aLyttia had seven long years of medical trauma, weathering her premature birth and severe physical abnormalities and injuries due to poor decisions made while in utero.

Although doctors successfully pieced her tiny body back together, the seven-year-old now fights for her mental health.

Debilitating anxiety permeates every area of her life, especially when faced with the ongoing medical procedures.  And, they will be lifelong.

In just seven sessions at the ranch with her mentor and favorite pony, aLyttia’s gained feelings of safety and calm, reclaiming a sense of control over her emotions and surroundings.

Just the other day Katharine shared a most remarkable scene: “aLyttia had an appointment with her cardiologist and as we boarded the elevator, she was noticeably quiet.  I asked her if she was nervous and she said, ‘No, I’m feeling fine today, Mommy.'”
