Here’s a Riddle for You: What’s Black & White and Read All Over?

What’s Black & White and Read All Over?

Joey! The true story of Hope Reins and its blind Appaloosa horse hits 100,000 printed copies because of generous supporters like you.

People like you love happy endings.  So, we’re thrilled to share today how the inspirational, true story you supported from the very beginning – is spreading hope and healing worldwide!

Tyndale Momentum published Joey two years ago after Jennifer Bleakley, a Hope Reins former volunteer and talented Raleigh author, penned the story chronicling our early years and how a blind Appaloosa horse shed light on everyone who met him at the ranch.

At the height of his career, Joey had come within a few points of qualifying as a hunter/jumper in the Olympics. However, an injury forced his early retirement and a downward spiral of abuse and neglect followed.

Tragically, a rescue group found Joey lying in a pasture nearly dead from starvation – and blind.

But, Joey discovered his light and purpose again after joining Hope Reins and befriending a little girl named Aly.

12-Year-Old From Mississippi Wins Big with Joey

The book, Joey, has touched the hearts of so many kids!  A wonderful mom from Raymond, Mississippi, reached out after Christmas to let us know how much her son, Mason, loved the book!  She also shared he won first place at his school’s reading fair competition with Joey as his non-fiction project.  Mason went on to win third place in the district fair.  Congratulations, Mason!

God’s story is revealed every day at Hope Reins because you choose to support our ministry.  On behalf of Joey author and friend, Jennifer Bleakley, and myself,  thank you!

In hope,
