Thank You for Standing Strong for This Little Boy.

You’re Standing Strong for Him. 

You’ve heard the stories.  How our brave military men and women return home with a myriad of mental and physical afflictions.  Many that impair them for the rest of their lives.

I want to tell you about a little boy who started sessions last week because of you.

Ryan is 9.  He remembers the birthdays and holidays that his father missed because of multiple deployments as a member of special forces. But he always promised his son he’d come home.

When he did, however, he returned a deeply wounded soul.

He drank alcohol and took pain medications to alleviate his struggle with PTSD and traumatic brain injury.  Tragically, his father will now miss the rest of Ryan’s life after an accidental overdose took his life.

But thankfully, you’re here for Ryan.  You, our Godly mentors, therapeutic horses and Jesus Christ.

Bereaved kids like Ryan build grief-processing skills while learning how to cope with their loss at Hope Reins.  He will also have an opportunity to share some of the deep-seated feelings he’s shut away for so long.

Thank you for joining us again in the 11th year of sessions at Hope Reins.  You’re making the world a better place with your kindness and generosity.
