Riley’s childhood was marred by her mother’s multiple DUI’s, incarcerations and sexual promiscuity.
The five-year-old was left alone many nights, waiting for her mom’s return. Riley would stay up late—even into the early hours of the morning—waiting to hear the door click open or see the car lights shine through her bedroom window.
Even though Riley’s dad has now received emergency custody of the little girl, her tumultuous early years have left her with debilitating anxiety, shame and low self-esteem.
