Connecting With Our Kids While Staying Apart: Digital Hope.

Thank you for the outpouring of love and prayers you’ve been sending to our horses and especially to the kids and families we serve.  We are so grateful for you.

It’s also been a privilege to talk to so many of you over the last week as we walk through the COVID-19 pandemic together.

And while we’re apart, I want to let you know how we’re staying CONNECTED and CONTINUING to serve our kids and families, because of you and your generosity.

Yesterday, we recorded the first batch of video messages to some of the kids you support.  These are digital, one-on-one videos with their mentor and favorite horse, including an inspiring scripture and value statement.

Staff is also emailing digital Packets of Hope to our kids with letters of encouragement, coloring sheets of a Hope Reins horse, and worksheets on our 4 development skills.

Nine-year-old Madeline is one of the kids you support. While on a beach vacation with her family, her 2-year-old brother drowned as she and her cousins unknowingly splashed and played in the pool alongside him.

Remember, we’re all feeling the weight of uncertainty right now. But the pain is especially acute for our kids and families already in crisis. Thank you for being a warrior for hope & healing on their behalf.

I know there’s turmoil in our world right now. But let’s continue to focus on what never changes: God and His word. We’re all in this together, and we’ll be right here waiting for you… at Hope Reins.
