Building a Legacy of Hope and Healing
As we close out our celebration of 15 years of Hope Reins, I want to share one final alumni story—a reminder of the lasting impact that your generosity has made possible.
Because of you, a child is finding hope today. And that hope is shaping their future.
In the spring edition of Hoofprints, you’ll meet Alyssa (Aly in the Joey book).
When Alyssa first came to the ranch, she was a painfully shy 5-year-old in foster care, living in a self-imposed world of silence. But everything began to change when she met Joey, a rescued horse who had lost his eyesight after being nearly starved.
In Joey, Alyssa found something familiar. The girl who couldn’t speak and the horse that couldn’t see. And in that connection, she found the courage to speak her very first words.
Today, Alyssa is a thriving college student, preparing to help others because of the healing she found at Hope Reins.
This is the kind of story you make possible.
One child. One horse. One mentor. And together with you, hope that changes everything. I hope you’ll take a moment to Read the Spring Hoofprints newsletter and Alyssa’s story.
Thank you for being such an essential part of this work. Your generosity is helping children discover that healing is possible.
All services at Hope Reins are offered at no cost to kids and families. Would you consider making a one-time donation or joining Stable Stewards (our monthly giving program) to support the kids and horses at Hope Reins?
