Every Hope Reins horse is a hero.

Sometimes you just know, “This is a God moment. Like a recent moment for 16-year-old Taylor who is in her first season at Hope Reins. It would be worth celebrating that she had a special session with her horse Zeb where she rode and felt so carried. Being carried by the largest horse on the ranch is comforting when life feels so heavy. And then, while returning Zeb to his paddock, she met another horse who kept following her around. That horse’s name is Sammy. One thing you need to know about Taylor is that her older sister, Samantha, died in a car crash in April of 2025. And . . . Samantha went by the name Sammy. And . . . the horse named Sammy wore a fly mask of purple, Samantha’s favorite color. And . . . the horse named Sammy chose Taylor in April of 2026, exactly one year after the crash. Sometimes you just know, “This is a God moment.” Will you please donate now so that children like Taylor can meet and work with a horse and a mentor, and take advantage of all the other supports we offer at Hope Reins?Your gift will be DOUBLED while matching funds last. |

According to her mom, Taylor is “the rock of the family.” Yet even rocks have a breaking point. Before Hope Reins, Taylor was up against her breaking point. She was grieving her parents’ recent divorce. She was grieving her younger sister Madison’s recent cancer diagnosis. She was literally afraid to go to sleep. She couldn’t stop thinking about how the car crash happened because Samantha’s friend fell asleep at the wheel. Today, Taylor is still grieving… but she is finding hope and she is beginning to heal at Hope Reins. Leonard, every Hope Reins horse is a hero. Please seize the opportunity to DOUBLE your impact for the horses who are there for the kids. |
With her mentor Katherine and her horse Zeb, Taylor is learning to see the world differently. With the additional moment of being chosen by Sammy, she’s coming to understand that she can safely feel all of her feelings and move past the pain.
Each week, Zeb and Sammy help many children who’ve experienced trauma. So do each of the 15 other horses at Hope Reins.
Training, feeding, and keeping a herd this size healthy requires tremendous care year‑round. And your generosity can make sure a horse like Zeb or Sammy is ready for the day a hurting child like Taylor arrives at the ranch.
Thank you for being the kind of person who says, “I’ll be there for you!” for the kids in crisis and the horses who lead the way out.
