Tragically, Jordan lost both his parents at age five. At eight years old, he arrived at Hope Reins with deep wounds of loss. The connection and communication his horse friends offered him went beyond human words like a healing salve to his broken heart. Today, Jordan is 24, a husband, a father and serving our country in the military.

Now meet Carter, a 12 year old in the middle of his healing journey. Years of grief and anger began to harden Carter’s heart after the devastating loss of his mom and sister. But with his mentor, his horse Kody, and a loving community, Carter is softening and finding his voice.

These are two of the many stories that prove what you and I both know… Hope Reins is not about pony rides. It is about bringing hope and healing through the connection with a rescued horse and a caring mentor.
