Before the weekend begins, I want to thank you for such a joyous first week for our kids back at the ranch! On Saturday, we opened the gates for our 16th season. After what felt like the coldest winter, the glorious North Carolina sunshine bathed Hope Reins in its full brilliance, and our annual “Welcome to the Ranch” event radiated the promise of spring. The warm welcomes, games, and delicious grilled burgers & hot dogs weren’t just ways to mark the occasion. They created a sense of togetherness – a stark contrast to the cold of winter, the isolation of trauma, and the ever-present reminders of a painful world. It’s because of your generosity that we can say “Welcome to the Ranch!” YOU are a powerful reminder of just how warm, welcoming and hopeful life can be. And the hundreds of smiles said it all – they are so very happy to be back! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. All services at Hope Reins are offered at no cost to kids and families.
