Encouragement.
It was just last Friday that I encouraged you with a letter of ‘epic sunshine’ written by a thankful mom of one of the kids you support.
Today, one week later, words are hard to find when looking at the loss and devastation in our neighboring western North Carolina.
But I would like to share Hope Reins’ foundational scripture—one that’s comforted the countless hurting parents, kids and caregivers you’ve helped us serve throughout our 15-year history.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Many are facing unimaginable trauma and loss from the floods. This verse reminds us of the boundless compassion God offers, not only to those in distress but also to us as we come together to pray and support one another.
Let us all be instruments of His comfort, providing hope and healing to those who need it most during this difficult time.
